 Barry Curtis Park

Barry Curtis Park

Ormiston is a quiet family area where people of many different nationalities live. There are large parks, sporting facilities and beaches close by. Barry Curtis Park with walking tracks and sports fields is a 5 minute drive from school and there is also a free indoor swimming pool about a 10 minute drive away.

Flat Bush has a small shopping centre close to school with Botany Junction 1km away. There are lots of ethnic eateries there. Manukau Shopping Mall, with its movie theatre and wide range of shops is a 10 minute drive. Our nearest beaches are also only a short drive away – you will have a choice of calm water in the harbours or wild, west coast surf!

Weather is moderate with few extremes of hot and cold, but it can be very changeable. In summer it can get to 28C (December - March) and in winter (July – August) it can be quite wet with temperatures around 12C.
